Having designed a team jersey for the bike shop we were both working in at the time, Chris asked me to work on a design for the small team he and his wife Jayne were looking to launch.

With the name already in place, the prominent imagery of a raven was a natural one, although the design surrounding it was less certain. Working closely with Chris and Jayne, we shared ideas and discussed drafts until the final design was approved. The diagonal background text and implementation of team rider names on the back of the jersey’s proved a challenge, but both designer and client were delighted with the end result.

The finalised design went into print production and turned heads at many race events. It even got a good airing on the trails of Alaska during a month long road trip by yours truly. At present, Raven Racing are on hiatus due to family commitments, but maybe the next generation will take on the mantle!
