Pretty pastel colours and cakes haven’t played much of a part in my design life until now. Actually, that’s a lie. I’m a bit of a sucker for cakes whatever the challenge!
Trying my best to keep the thought of endless cake to the back of my mind, I was still delighted to accept the request of friend and cake artist Jo Hoskin to develop her new website – Contrary Mary Cakes.
During the course of development, lots happened, not least of all the fact that Jo took on a bricks and mortar shop to form the HQ of Contrary Mary. By luck (and a bit of design) the site also produced what would become the shop front logo and additional graphics.
In more ways than one, the development of the Contrary Mary site has been a pivotal one in my approach to website design. I’ve discovered new platforms that will ultimately make life more efficient, productive and time saving for both myself and my clients. Never a bad thing!
Check out Jo’s story on our Portfolio page, and be sure to follow the link to her website to see her incredible work and maybe order that special cake for that special person.
